My family and I are meeting Nevada Naturist and friends at Boulder City Nevada near the Boulder Dam for a hike to Arizona Hotsprings this Saturday. The hike will begin at 8 AM at the trailhead which is 4.2 miles past Hoover Dam on the Arizona side off HWY 93. When you reach 4.2 miles look for a break in the gaurdrail on your right which leads to the parking area. There is a sign at the trailhead. You follow the trail along a wash down to the Colorado river then you hike south along the river to the next canyon or wash and the springs are just up this canyon a couple hundred yard from the Colorado River. We will also be hiking to Goldstrike hotsprings on the Nevada side on Sunday. Nevada Naturist may join us at these springs too. To find these springs you go east on HWY 93 and a couple miles before you come to Boulder dam you will pass the Hacienda hotel. About a half mile past the hotel look again for a break in the gaurdrail on your right. Nevada Naturist said its easiest to enter through the gaurdrail from being across HWY 93, on the opposite side of this entrance. You drive down to the end of this dirt road then follow the canyon you are in down toward the Colorado river. The Arizona hotsprings hike is about 3 miles, one way. The Goldstrike hotsprings is about 2 and a half miles and you come to the first running water in the canyon about 2 miles into this hike. There are bigger pools at the Goldstrike springs but the last section at the bottom of the canyon has some sections in the steep canyon which are more difficult. I'll be taking pictures of both springs and the trip down and will put them at the Wizard's pictures link below when I get them developed. Maybe someone out there may want to join us this weekend on the hikes. Nevada Naturist did a post a couple days ago at the local Las Vegas Bares group yahoo site inviting others in that group to join us so we may have some more company on Saturday.
