Is it closed?You couldnt tell by the traffic on Bowen Ranch Road this weekend.Two carlaods of people got lost last night and I pointed the way for them.They were completely unaware of the closure.They asked if they could still camp at Bowen Ranch and I informed them that it was up to the owner to decide and the only way to find out was to ask him.When I let them know that campfires were not allowed due to high fire danger the response was "But how are we going to cook our food?"
I did see lots of law enforcement in the area.BLM,USFS,DFG and the SBCSO.All were spotted on Bowen Ranch Road this weekend.I dont have any reports from the springs as all of the locals I talked to have'nt been since the closure.We went rockclimbing on some nice boulders in the area and really enjoyed the cooler 80 degree weather.
