A very mild el nino exists.A finger of 68 degree water up near Monterey produced a few Yellowtail,but we are still catching albacore tuna and no yellowfin tuna out of San Diego.That means the warm water never arrived this far north.However,how this afferts weather patterns remains to be seen.Also,I just returned from Guadalupe island yesterday and did not see one turtle.This means the water is too cool.Farther south they are abundant in the area of Cabo.Bottom line,it aint happening.
