The Santa Ynez valley is just incredible. The Chumash were all over the place, and although I don't think there were any villages in the vicinity of the Caliente hot springs, I know they must have been over by the Juncal campground and the abandoned Ranger stations. One of these days I'll have to park my car and snoop around looking for bedrock mortars.
