I wish the sheriff's department would do that, however, I believe the crime has to be a felony in order to get a search warrant. A search warrant would be required to examine the gun. There is a felony crime that could be charged, however, the sheriff's department classified this as an alleged misdemeanor crime.
However, we believe that we will get this bullet and gun examined at a future date.
