Lightning struck the mountain sunday starting a small spot fire near Bowen Ranch.USFS fire suppression crews were quick to respond sending helitac and pumper crews to the scene despite working several other major fires in So.California.Its my opinion that an adventure pass fee is a small price to pay for protection and upgrades of USFS managed lands.I also read that adventure pass fees were used to construct a handicap accessable nature trail in big bear.I cant help but smile when I think of a disabled child or elderly person enjoying the serenity of the forest.
