Naked Man, Thanks for your good wishes for my trip to Burning Man. I did have a great time! It was such an interesting gathering of creative people. There was so much to see and it was a treat for the senses. The highlight of the event is the " burning of the man ". After he falls the " natives " with the echos of drums and cheers begin to dance around the fire that is left. A very fine moment came after the man had fallen and the fire was raging at its highest point. Suddenly small twisters came spiraling out of the flames and danced thier way across the cheering crowds. I was taking video of these small whirlwinds and they looked really magical highlighted by the flames, with the sounds of the drums, burning embers flying through the air like little stars, and the people in the crowds, and other Burners on the many fantastic art vehicles in silhouette in front of all of this. It was a fitting end to a memorable time at my first Burning Man :-)
