Photo Buff, You need to stop licking those hallucinogenic toads :-) Are you contemplating taking your sports car to the hotsprings? If so, your worse off than I thought. I once advised my Korean friend to take his impala down a strictly four wheel drive hill to a place where I used to camp near the springs. We arrived at night and I had one to many sips on my magic cup of wine :-) I told him I'll go to the bottom of the hill with my car and wait at the bottom for you. I remember his headlights approaching the top of the hill shinning off into space and then over the top he came, or rather slid :-) Well he made it to my camp spot. The next day we went to the springs. He left late in the morning and was going to head home. I stayed at the springs and then hiked back to my camp about 5 Pm. As I neared the camp area I heard a loud noise like tires spinning and when I finally got high enough I saw my friend " Kwong " in his white impala trying to get his ride up that steep hill. He had been trying for a few hours and was throughly frustrated as you can imagine. I calmed him down and got In my four wheel sled and got in front of him and hooked an eight foot peice of chain between our cars and locked the ends with two combination locks I happened to have. It was an ugly scene. I didn't like the idea that his car was going to be so close behind me but we gave it a go anyway. I told Kwong to make sure he let off the gas when we reached the top. I could just imagine his impala ramming the back of my ride after he got good traction at the top of the hill. Up we went with Kwong gassin his behemouth while I pulled. Dust was flyin and as we neared the top I was prayin that he would surprise me and let off the gas and not ram into the back of my car. Well as it turned out someone was lookin after me that day and just as we cleared the top of the hill one of the padlocks broke and my vehicle jumped head far enough to keep clear of that mad man Kwong! The moral of this story Photo Buff is, be smart, and leave your sports car at the Bowen Ranch parking area :-) The springs are not sport car optional!
