Sycamore, I don't recall Katrina jumping up and down in any post showing anger about the Arroyo toad. Just curious where you got that impression. So lets say the environmetalist say that the toad should have all of Deep Creek to themselves and no people should go there, period, you would say, " thats cool, no problem " ? If that were to happen ( which it has in places ) I would contest it, because it would be a bunch of nonsense to say the few hikers on the PCT and those that visit the specific location of DCHS are impacting the whole toad population down there in some significant way. I will always be an advocate that a public route of access around the ranch is maintained as long as Mike is operating in his own interest to turn people away. Thats his right on his property but he is not a Forest Service official representative operating under thier rules. Just because Mike Castro turns someone away does not mean that he always has a reasonable reason to do so, in relation to Forest Service or BLM access rules. As far as membership, I think the only people we have excluded at this time are Katrina and Mike Castro. I think it is benificial to do this given the friction between them. Regarding answers to your questions, there are a lot of differant reasons people come to this forum, I wouldn't take a lack of answers from the others as personel, some things people won't respond to, there is really no way to find an explanation for that.
