Kary, What is happening to DCHS in terms of exposure is happening all over these united states. I know you would " really " like to be in a position where anyone who visits, or communicates about the springs would " have " to ask " your " permission first. Your real name isn't Mike Castro is it :-) Well thats not gonna happen. Only laws and reasonable enforcement will protect the springs from the increased visitation of populations in the areas surrounding DCHS. The secret is out and it has been out for a long time. There will be no turning back the hands of time for DCHS. This process is inevitatable and there is nothing you can do to stop it. The best you can do is to help insure that DCHS has good laws to protect it and that these laws are being followed. I see the laws being broken down at DCHS all the time, fires, glass, cut trees, camping, graffiti etc. The people who care for DCHS now " must " find methods to help ensure that the laws are followed. Whether its done with information through a flier, volunteers doing various helpful projects, people joining together and speaking up to those at the springs found to be breaking laws, these are the kind of things that will make a differance toward preserving DCHS. The various agencies will be limited in thier interest and thier abilities to provide resources to help with the problems at DCHS. Without a doubt people will come in increasing numbers. Any attempt you may make to point blame at one person like Katrina is nonsense and will not solve, or stop the process of increased visitation that is occuring.
