I wonder if Eastbay would inform kids in Compton or El Monte about public lands they can visit such as ocean beaches. You know, most of those kids never do make it out to the beach, even if they live only a few miles away. But then again, a horde of poor kids might cause beach overuse and Westsiders might not like that -- just like Eastbay fears the LA Times readers rampage.

We might as well be safe and not tell inner-city residents about Yosemite, Big Sur and Deep Creek hot springs. They might spoil those places, too.

Eastbay, you tell me when LA Times readers come and destroy Deep Creek. This I gotta see.
