Re: rattlesnake season warning

The rattlesnake population is up all over due to the rains--I am seeing them on many hikes I've taken recently. DO NOT KILL THEM, THEY ARE NECESSARY FOR THE ECOLOGY!!! Instead, be wary--wear boots & long pants, beat the bushes (literally), reign in your kids/dogs, be aware that baby rattlers are the most dangerous, and heed the rattles--that means, get out of there, don't poke it with a stick or try to move it!!!
