Re: rattlesnake season warning

There is a small rattlesnake den adjacent to the first part of the trail down from Bowen Ranch. As you go down the steepest, first hillside, there is a lone large tree on the left side of the trail ( I don't know my desert vegetation so I don't know if its a yucca or cactus), but all of you familiar with the trail will know what I'm talking about. We have seen several rattlesnakes right near this spot, especially toward the cool of the evening we we return to the parking lot from the springs. So be extra alert as you walk past this tree.
