I want to say that I am very thankful for all of your kind words and support. All that you have written here really means alot to me. I agree with all the thoughts I've read here. I talked to the person that I knew who was with the people in those sherrifs cars that night. He knows the hotsprings environment and is not one of the number of people that took great offense to seeing me without cloths, while with my daughters. I thanked him for vouching for my integrity and diffusing that situation. Both the officer and this man who helped me said that if he had not of spoken up for me that I would have likely ended up in jail. That same evening Brad Burns with an officer went down to the springs to tell people to leave near sunset. I have never seen the Forestry people or the officers that have accompanied them confront families about the nudity or thier kids. This has been my experience with DCHS all the years I have visited that special place. I ask myself, why should I be subjected to the severe critical attitude of these sherrifs while in the same general area when I was only standing next to my car with my children when they pulled up. I spend the same kind of time with my kids down at the springs with no problems. It not uncommon for people to hike back up the trail without cloths. There are no signs I know of that say that hiking nude on the trail is a problem. The biggest part of this situation was about a father being naked in front of his two daugters and how some in society look at it. As many of you suggest, I feel that I have been pursueing a path at the springs whereby my children will learn to be comforatble with thier natural form and with the human form in general. The part that makes me most sad is that I may have to choose a path that would mean I cannot share special times at DCHS with my kids and the many special people I have met down there over the years. If these organizations that pose a threat would actually check out any situation fully before reacting I would not be worried at all that they would find that I am a responsible and caring father. Problem is I have heard many negative stories about the CPS just rolling in like a steam roller if someone raises a red flag, yank the children out of a home, and then spend a laborious amount of time raking the families over the coals. This is what is really concerning my wife right now after hearing what the officer had to say about situations that can happen. It is my strong desire to have my children continue to experience the DCHS atmospere while always under my supervision. My feeling is that it has been nothing but good and they will be better well rounded people for it. They are exhuberant kids and full of life. Anyone who has met them can tell you that. So I feel like I'm caught between a rock and a hard place as they say. My desire to continue experiencing DCHS as I have with the worry about the possibility of some other dramatic situation like the one I just experienced or removing my children from experiencing the naturist atmosphere that I find so rich at DCHS and being saddened by what I would definitly feel is a loss to thier life experience. I have mentioned here before that my first date with my wife was at DCHS about 9 years ago and we have been there countless times since. My wife has always choosen to wear a suit, that is what she is comfortable with. She is such a generous person. I just had my brother tell me this morning that he has grown to respect Darcy very much and is amazed by her clear thinking and strength of character. I feel exactly the same about her.
