Wizard, it's great that you let your daughters climb all around and gain the confidence and strength that comes with it. A lot of parents get overly-concerned about their children's safety, and as a result the kids grow up to be overly-concerned and fearful. Really, I think kids are a lot stronger and more resilient than adults realize. They'll grow up to love hot springs, athletics, and the outdoors for sure! As for the flashlight, we always bring it, but it was stolen in the backpack, so we were lightless. I also hear you on the litterers. I think some people just have no respect for others and don't think about much else besides themselves. Hence they bring glass to the springs and litter. I can easily understand your frustration. Nothing we can do about it I guess, but pick up the garbage so at least WE don't have to keep dealing with it. I think you have to teach people to respect others, and clearly a lot of people who go the springs were not taught that lesson well. Next time I'm there though I'll definitely come find you if you're around. Your long flowing hair will be hard to miss!
