I'm not sure if we are supporting Katrina's efforts by coming to this website, although I agree that it is a negative representation of people concerned about DCHS. Wizard does have a point (below) about it just being more publicity, whether or not he is right that it would be a place to slander Katrina. Other than that, I like the idea of having a website with a central focus of what is best for the springs. Despite the current website's reasons for being created, it could be that the focus is changing, or that it will or can change for the better; the choice is up to the people who submit.
I'm also afraid that the arguments on this site would be carried over to any new site, regardless of the intentions of the site creator(s). It seems that if the "combatants" can't be civil here, they are not likely to be civil on any new sites either. Yet, I am optimistic about this current site. The good will leave a more lasting impression than the bad, but that's just my opinion. Also, sick-minded or hateful people will reveal themselves, and readers will be able to make some kind of distinctions.
The idea of "independence" from the slander of the site is a good one though, and I'm glad you thought of it in such a timely manner.
