Naked Man,
I was there on the 4th as well, but at a different location along the creek.
We'll eventually meet up and I would like to meet you as well. I will be there again this weekend, hopefully both days. I usually where a blue painters cap
When I am at the hot springs, I like to soak at the Arizona Pool because I prefer a shallow sitting pool more, the footing is a bit better and safer than at the other pools and I like the views of the general area better also. It's hard to believe that the Arizona pool will be eleven years the middle of November. It has held together quite well over the years surviving a few floods.
Thank you for the information regarding the meetings and I agree with most of what you said. Though I have been going the springs a bit longer than you, I can tell you for a fact that the worse type of trash is left by those who visit there during night time hours. They leave in the early morning hours before some of us daytime folks get down there so they are able to vacate the place leaving behind disposable items.
Ya, I don't mind picking up a little trash either from-to-time. You apparently arrived on the good day, whereas I arrived on another day and the place was a little trashy. I guess it depends on who's coming and who's going that particular day you go.
Last Saturday I met Frank down there and he had 4 medium size trash bags already filled by the time got down there. I helped him carry out a bag.
As for forming a group, I am not sure what will evolve of it. If one forms, fine, and if one doesn't, well then we'll be doing what we're doing now. I just thought if we formed a small group of us, we would have better chance to deal with those leaving the trash behind in the first place. One thing to remember about DCHS, numbers talk! More of us there is, the stronger we are. I've been on a couple of stings down there in the past 13 years and were easily victorious over those who were distructive.
Anyway we'll see what transpires of all this. Happy Soak'n
