Re: New video of deep creek campground owner and operator

The video is mostly a montage of several different subjects, with very little actual information about the new campground. And, no, I didn't see or hear anything convincing about cleaning up or preserving anything at all. I'm not a local, but I've met several of you that are locals, and who invest a lot of energy and time in cleaning, preserving, and graffiti removing. When I visit, I always pack out all of my own trash, and usually collect and pack out a little of that left by others, but that's a drop in the bucket compared to what some of the regulars do.

It's been several years since I visited DCHS. I've heard and read a fair amount of vague information about the new campground, but not much that's definitive. Without getting into the politics and property disputes, I'm just trying to get a good understanding of the camping and access routes involved with the new campground. From looking at satellite imagery, it's easy enough to see how to drive to the place. From there, it appears that the "new" campground and trailhead are actually the same as they were 10-15 years ago, only accessed from around the northwest and west of the old Bowen Ranch access gate and compound. All the roads and camping areas look the same, only the road is cut off on the northern side from the old Bowen Ranch. It looks like the same trail information boards, at the same USFS trailhead as before, leading down to the USFS road, the "dogleg", then down the trail through the side-canyon and on down to DCHS, via that same "beloved" hill. Is that more or less correct?

Is nudity still acceptable at the "new" campground?
