We decided to try parking at the new place, and it worked out well. Drivers must remember to make a right instead of going straight into Mike's place. A couple hundred yards on the left, and you're at the new parking area / campground, which seems to have lots of activity in preparation for campers. When you pay your $10 pp you receive a detailed receipt with your payment info and car info. On a sunny Friday with temps in the low 70s, we were surprised to see so few people at the creek. The walk across the water was chilly, of course, but it was great in the warm water on the other side. A few people were present, and we enjoyed some good conversation with a broadly mixed group age/sex. We certainly hope this wonderful place isn't spoiled by an influx of people.
