Sam D.,My sense is they were liberated Russians. And it was a surprise that the Latvians were there first. At first some of the Latvians wanted a confrontation. And said all Russians are evil. I interjected and with a loud voice said " Old enemies can Live in peace In America. And THAT is WHY America is the best place on earth. Please have mercy for this is a special place and a special day for freedom. " This caused about 1/2 of the Latvians to leave. Also, There were some Estonians there. I think 4 couples. They were already effected by the mushrooms. The remaining Latvians and Estonians invited the Russians to join in their mushroom trip. To my surprise they ate a lot of mushrooms. To hear Russians, Estonians and Latvians laughing and joking and crying with such intensity and in separate languages was an amazing site. And THAT is what keeps me going back ! As I was leaving many Russians were coming down the trail with camp equipment. The next day many were still there. All this time I was looking for you to show up too Mike. And see that there was not much trash to pick up. THANKS for your help with that.
