...WINTER STORM CONDITIONS SATURDAY EVENING THROUGH SUNDAY...

.A strong cold front will sweep across the San Bernardino
Mountains Saturday afternoon and evening, accompanied by very
strong winds and plummeting temperatures. The snow level will fall
from near 8,000 feet, to around 5,000 feet by Sunday morning.
Heavy snow may accumulate above 6,000 feet as strong southwest
winds continue. The combination of blowing and falling snow,
freezing temperatures, and areas of dense fog will make travel
hazardous. Only marginal improvement is expected Monday into
Tuesday with snow showers and occasional gusty winds expected.

SUNDAY ABOVE 6000 FEET...

* WHAT...Heavy snow expected. Plan on difficult travel conditions.
Damage to trees and power lines is possible. Total snowfall 4 to
10 inches from 6,000 to 8,000 feet, with localized amounts up to
24 inches above 8,000 feet.

* WHERE...Mountains of San Bernardino County.

* WHEN...4 PM Saturday to 9 PM Sunday.

* ADDITIONAL DETAILS...Be prepared for significant reductions in
visibility at times.

PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...

A Winter Storm Warning for snow means severe winter weather
conditions are expected. If you must travel, keep an extra
flashlight, food and water in your vehicle in case of an
emergency.
