Got to the Bowen Ranch parking lot late Friday afternoon and camped out the night at the parking lot. Started hiking down after 7 Saturday morning; it was so cold, it was the first time in years I had to hike with my clothes on!
It was even too cold for sandals, but I carried them in my backpack anyway to cross the river and that ended up for the best. Because there was this guy down at the springs that couldn't find his shoes so I gave him the sandals. I hope he made it out fine.
The pools were in great condition, thanks a lot for everyone that has volunteered to clean them. And I could hardly see any trash; I hope it stays like that if not better.
Does anybody know if the guy who lost his expensive camera found it? I would hate to think there are persons going through people's backpacks.
