LA Fire department posted on their Instagram that they had to send via helicopter personnel on the weekend to Hesperia and Bowen Ranch to aid in a _horse_ rescue. A horse, their post says, fell "300 feet" off the trail and could not move. A person responding to their posting says the horse fell only 10 feet down off the trail, and I hope it is the latter. Anyone see this situation? It seems you were hiking out at the same time as these horses, and maybe hiked out just before this happened?
