If you live in the Inland Empire or Los Angeles, anywhere down south I think using the Bradford Ridge Trail route will get you to and hiking on the PCT, just a ways downstream from DCHS, quicker than going the Bowen Ranch way. The hike from the Bowen Ranch to the PCT is pretty similar to the hike from the BRT parking spot to the PCT. Its a beautiful ride through the forest and you drive a paved road all the way to the trail head.
