San Gabriel River Confluence with Cattle Canyon Improvements Project available for review and comment

ARCADIA, Calif.; Nov. 13, 2017 – For Immediate Release – Angeles National Forest (ANF) Supervisor Jeffrey Vail today announced the Draft Environmental Impact Statement/Environmental Impact Report (DEIS/EIR) for the San Gabriel River Confluence with Cattle Canyon Improvements Project is available for public review and comment. The project is located approximately 14 miles north of Azusa. The proposed action seeks to enhance the access to the East Fork San Gabriel River on the ANF, provide high-quality recreation facilities and infrastructure, shift recreational use to certain areas to minimize adverse effects over a broader area and improve riparian habitat conditions.

The DEIS/EIR is jointly prepared by the ANF and the Watershed Conservation Authority. Documents are posted on the forest’s project webpage.

Public meetings are an opportunity for interested individuals to receive information, ask questions, share concerns or provide written comments about the proposed project. Open-house meetings are scheduled as follows:
