birdbrain, obviously you are an experienced hiker/camper. So I probably don't need to tell you to take plenty of water, sunscreen, sufficient food etc. There is a water source at the springsvia a little pipe by the Crab Cooker. I don't know for sure the quality of the water, but I'm sure regulars like Neogeo or Wizard could tell you if its potable (although hot!!).
