antranik,
It would be more advisable to bring a shovel for those post as the ground is very hard out on the Bradford ridge path. Thanks for your service, do not let the rangers catch you also. There is a forest service regulation prohibiting changing the surface of the forest. Just explain to them you want to bury your poo and they might buy that ??? but the post may be problematic ??? OTHERWISE, there also is a regulation that requires you have a shovel to bury your poo.
These regulations are a freedom lovers nightmare, as they have a regulation that says you can NOT park less than 50 feet from the road. Then they have another regulation that says you must park more than 50 feet from the road. So, no matter where you park you might be ticketed. SEE WHAT I MEAN, VERN ??? A catch 22 if there ever was one. And there are many other regulations they can get you into their legal quagmire with. So, be very nice and polite when encountering rangers. Remember what the wise man says "RANGER DANGER."
If you want to get a headache study the Federal regulations pertaining to the national forest. Just google it. An, see wot I mean Vern !
