Hi,

I am coming to California for a conference in July. A have two free days and I'm trying to decide how to use them. I have Sunday July 16th and Monday July 17th. I have signed up for the lottery to climb Mount Whitney on Monday. I am hoping that I will get a pass because the weekdays are probably not as popular.

So that leaves me with Sunday. I have never been to a nude beach nor have I ever seen a hot spring before. I kind of want to experience both at once but after reading your forum I'm a little concerned. I have read a lot of comments about not going on the weekend and that is my only option. Is the crowd on a Sunday like 60 people with only 5 nude? I'm not looking to be that guy who sits in one of the small pools with ten clothed people mocking or snubbing me. I think that would feel really awkward. Do some of you regulars go on the weekend?

I'm considering going down to Blacks Beach instead but I think I would rather check the hot springs out because I will probably never visit one again and I would rather experience this without a suit.

You guys know the area better than anyone. What would you do if you were me?
