I was at DCHS last Friday and the wade over to the hot pools from the beach was about waist deep. If you go straight across its over your head. Look for the little trail through the bushes about 30 feet or so downstream from the beach then wade pretty much straight over. There are a couple of large smooth boulders there which are above the water in the summer, but with the higher creek level they are below the stream. They are very slippery so try to walk around those. I warned a guy about them as he was crossing about a month ago and he stepped up on them and his feet went right out from under him. Thankfully he did not get hurt, being a young guy and pretty flexible and strong. The Phoenix Pool upstream was under the creek but somebody recently made a small sand bag pool right there below the source and it was used by some. The Womb was not very hot as it was a colder day and the hot source water cools down more having a long ways to go. The conditions currently I would guess are pretty similar. The snow was melting off in the mountains on Fri which was adding to the creek level. There is more rain coming, perhaps Wed and Thurs so depending how much falls, and what the snow level is, the stream may be rising again.
