Pacific Crest Trail - Trip Report - Nov 1 & 2

Good hike down to Springs and PCT. Wizard was cleaning the pools. Several others were soaking and enjoying the day. Slightly cool air.
I hiked out with Wiz and camped at the Ranch. Very cold night with wind. Hiked in at dawn. Big crowd by 100 pm when I hiked out.

Local Big Bear Mohave Desert 4 wheel Trips-
Bill Mann's Guides to 50 places in the desert- He published 6 volumes covering the areas from Death Valley to Big Bear. He died a few years ago but they have still been available. Time will make them harder to find. I've driven to about 100 of his 300 detailed locations- fascinating trips with a Wrangler or other HIGH vehicle.

Springs are clean. We hauled out trash the last 2 weeks. The creek is knee level. Creek Temp around 60 degrees.
