Re: Lost hikers

People at times get confused about where the trail goes when they go down that first step hill from the Bowen Ranch parking area and encounter the road ( old 3N59A ) and follow it instead of the trail which turns south again. I came across a family about 15 minutes from DCHS on the Bowen Trail ( 3W02 ) not too long ago who had wandered off east on that road for a long time, and hours later had made it to where they were. They were going to give up and hike back but then I showed them how close the springs were and I guided them down there. They were glad to have made it to the springs after their ordeal, and had a great time soaking and swimming
