For a lot of people living down the hill, they like this trail the best. I think it is about two and three quarters mile, but I have never GPS's its distance. Richard is a long time regular who is 70 years old, a ski instructor and that is the way he goes when he comes. I live in Apple Valley and used this trail at times in the winter when the creek was high and cold. But the dirt portion down to the desert got closed and its way to long for me to go through the mountains to get to that trail head now.
