In a recent visit to the springs, I noticed someone has been at work on the main pools. There are some new "toe holds" and steps in the area leading down from the Womb to the Serenity pool and that area. Some of hippie dave's handiwork has been covered over and erased, some things added that are new.
But the major thing is a kind of huge wall that has been built where the water runs down from the Anniversary Pool area to the Womb. Right above the Womb, this wall forms a new one or two-very-close person(s) pool. A pool that surveys the Womb and sits just over it. In the Womb, you are now looking up at this big, unnatural wall with a white pipe for emptying and cleaning stuck in it.
I kind of hate it. I actually really hate it. Wondering what others think. The stonework for this new pool and this wall, and the stone and cement work more generally, is not well done. Seems sloppy. The wall as you look up at it from the Womb is uneven and already has water coming through it. It does not in any way look natural. The natural pool of the Womb has been compromised, and the vista up to the Anniversary pool area done away with. Also climbing between the two pools is now much harder. And as water overflows the "new pool" down into the Womb, it is running down the cement ledges that you step on to climb up to the Anniversary area - when algae grows they will be unpassable and dangerous.
Not a fan! People stop messing with the pools! Clean them, brush them, care for them, fix them - but we don't need any new walls and pools.
