APPLE VALLEY >> Francis Pusok, the man at the center of a controversial arrest in April following a three-hour chase through the desert, was arrested Wednesday in connection with an assault. On Tuesday, deputies assigned to the San Bernardino County Sheriff’s Apple Valley station were summoned to a home in the 11000 block of Caribou Avenue after a man was punched in the nose by another man, later identified as Pusok, sheriff’s officials said.
