Skinny Dipper was closed for a variety of reasons, one of which was high bacteria levels due to overuse.
Regarding Umpqua, it does have a low flow, and when coupled with too many people soaking, the bacterial levels become too high. Other problems at Umpqua include illegal camping ,trash, and human waste.
