Good info Coyote. Many of us have wondered EXACTLY where that "T6" crossing is located. In my many discussions with other FS rangers, they also confirmed nudity is allowed except within 1/4 mile of a developed area. Their definition of developed area means that there is bathroom facilities/picnic bench/camping.

The BLM has a very similar policy regarding nudity- OK as long as not near a similarly developed area.

I think there is a potentially much bigger issue than nudity. Recently several hot springs have been either permanently or temporarily closed because of high bacterial counts from overuse. Too many people going in hot springs don't clean their shitholes first , resulting in high fecal coliform counts. Umpqua Hot Springs in Oregon just closed because of high bacterial counts. Of course its not always feasible or practical to wash beforehand when there is no place to do so.

There was another hot spring in Idaho that also was closed because of this type of overuse.
