Deep Creek 'needs more attention'
Enforcement sweep held same day 8-year-old died

DEEP CREEK — On May 24, San Bernardino County officials organized a multi-agency enforcement sweep to cite off-highway vehicle users and trespassers in the area of the Mojave Forks Dam, more commonly known as Deep Creek. That very same day, an 8-year-old boy drowned near the Deep Creek spillway.
