...WINTER WEATHER ADVISORY FOR THE SAN BERNARDINO AND RIVERSIDE
COUNTY MOUNTAINS THURSDAY EVENING THROUGH FRIDAY AFTERNOON...

.A COLD LOW PRESSURE SYSTEM WILL SLOWLY MOVE THROUGH SOUTHERN
CALIFORNIA THURSDAY INTO FRIDAY...LIKELY RESULTING IN SEVERAL
INCHES OF SNOW ABOVE 6000 FEET. MOST OF THE SNOW ACCUMULATIONS
WILL LIKELY OCCUR THURSDAY EVENING THROUGH FRIDAY AFTERNOON...BUT
AN INCH OR TWO MAY ACCUMULATE BEFORE AND AFTER THOSE TIME PERIODS.
SHOWERS WILL TAPER OFF FRIDAY EVENING AND END EARLY SATURDAY

THE NATIONAL WEATHER SERVICE IN SAN DIEGO HAS ISSUED A WINTER
WEATHER ADVISORY FOR SNOW...WHICH IS IN EFFECT FROM 5 PM THURSDAY
TO 5 PM PDT FRIDAY.

* SNOW LEVELS...6000 FEET. LOCALLY DOWN TO 5500 FEET.

* TIMING...THURSDAY EVENING THROUGH FRIDAY AFTERNOON.

* SNOW ACCUMULATIONS...TRACE TO 1 INCH FROM 5500 TO 6000 FEET. 3
TO 6 INCHES FROM 6000 TO 6500 FEET. 4 TO 8 INCHES FROM 6500 TO
7500 FEET. 5 TO 9 INCHES ABOVE 7500 FEET.

* WINDS...SOUTHWEST TO WEST 15 TO 25 MPH WITH GUSTS TO 45 MPH.

* VISIBILITY...LOWERED VISIBILITY IN FALLING AND BLOWING SNOW.

* IMPACTS...SNOW AND BLOWING SNOW WILL MAKE FOR HAZARDOUS DRIVING
CONDITIONS IN THE MOUNTAINS INCLUDING HIGHWAYS 18 AND 38. CHAIN
CONTROL MAY BE REQUIRED. ONYX PASS MAY BE IMPACTED WITH HEAVY
SNOW.
