DEEP CREEK — A 16-year-old boy drowned after jumping into the water in the Deep Creek area on Friday afternoon. At 3:24 p.m., authorities received a call from the remote unincorporated area near Apple Valley and Hesperia reporting that the unidentified teen jumped off rocks into the water and "never surfaced."
