Another exiting car drove around the shack on the junkyard side (east?) so I followed him around, bypassing the traffic jam. There is the normal Bowen "right to pass..." sign there that I'd not noticed before but may have been there for years. Might this be the new entrance you're talking about Paul? Probably not, it certainly isn't "away from the Bowen Ranch house", it's just on the other side.
If I had to make an educated guess, the new entrance will be on the WEST side of the existing Bowen Ranch house. As I recall, there is a small "cabin" about 100 feet west of the ranch house, I believe the new entrance will be there.
If Arizona Mike ever posts here again, I believe he is friends with Mike Castro and has probably talked with him about the gate.
