Man, sorry to miss you Hiker. My friends tell me the Saturday naturist group was part of the Vita Nuda West group, I know some of them from San O nude beach days. Sorry to miss them too. But there were also many friends at the springs on Sunday, many locals and regulars and new friends made during the day. Compared to the packed parking up at Bowen, it was pretty calm in the morning down there. Joined Hippie Dave in the Arizona Pool right away upon arrival, and made some new friends that I soaked with most of the day, going from pool to pool to pool in a group. I didn't see much trash around at all, post-USFS clean up. Didn't see that ice chest you mention. I tried my best to fill a bag before leaving, and only got it 1/3rd full maybe. Two nude guys walked up and down the beach before I started and also half-filled a bag, that they then hiked out. There was unfortunately at least 3 dirt bikes that came down all the way. Two dirt bike riders in their full gear just set up across the creek from the springs, and lit up a bonfire. Dipshits. I was like : Why? you drive your f**ing dirt bikes down here to light a fire? JUST GO AWAY. AND DON'T COME BACK.
But otherwise: The best I've seen the place looking in a long long while, plus the most amazing foliage, and blue skies, and the sunset of sunsets. It was definitely a majority nude day down at the springs, pushing 30-35 people by midday, and more women than men there I would say - which surprised us guys who talked about it for sure! Some groups came down to celebrate things like birthdays, and got into the true spirit of the place. No complaints. Super amazing day with great people. Love DCHS when its cold out there. True soaking paradise.
