I had given away two bottles on the way down one time as the couple underestimated. The only danger with excessive drinking of water is you may mess up your electrolyte balance in hot weather, so swallow that salt. Maybe that's how kissing originated in our species :-)

On unrelated water topic, this sport is fairly new and invented in France two years ago. It took off in the southeast and now a few instructors are giving lessons in Tahoe. Also someone told me San Diego has it. After you sign the death release form, it looks like fun if you ever wanted to be a dolphin ... or superhero.
