I received flash flood alerts on my phone about a half hour ago, Its 2:19 PM now. The view from our home in Apple Valley looking towards the Bowen Ranch area is very dark, with a downpour going on right now somewhere between here and there, lightning and thunder too! I was just at DCHS on Thursday and was telling some people about the real flash flood I witnessed of inky black water filled with soot from the previous years Willow Fire debris being carried into the creek by intense downpours upstream. That flood happened in August of 2000.
