The residents close to Reno/Carson City are a bit weird, mostly conservative in social views, so I can see that happening. The residents around the lake, much less likely so as they come from the big cities and have a second home there. From my understanding Chimney and other beaches way back used to be clothing optional as well, then they were taken over my textiles. Secret Cove and nearby sister beaches were saved, mostly from the hard work of the locals who wanted to keep the bare tradition. It's nice to see the area officially recognized now and protected as clothing optional, with the support of rangers and law enforcement. That may be partly the reason why you don't see trash and partying there. It seems like NV has more funds to allow those guys do regular patrols.
