Hey man - I was there yesterday and we met during a short soak after your arrival in the Contemplation Pool (the new pool in the shade of slightly cooler temperature). I talked with you about your difficulty with the outdated directions to the Bradford trail. When you descended down the canyon part -- you could have taken the left as opposed to the right fork in the trail and that leads down the slightly longer, slightly less steep ridge line itself, eventually dropping you down on the PCT to hike back up trail to the springs.
Glad you had a good first visit. Didn't see you again after that soak in the Contemplation Pool. Was mostly in the shade on the nude beach, where unfortunately there is a big pile of trash around the Deep creek sign again. It will take some doing to get some of that stuff out of there including broken beach chairs and the like. I picked up trash from myself and others on the beach, and then as I always try to do I cleaned the beach on the Bowen ranch side before hiking out, except for the large number of beer cans there stuffed into crevices in the rock wall on the beach. I was going to trash them and hike them out, but it turned out there were all full cans, trail beers if you will - left them for others to drink if they want to.
Maybe a trip report from me soon if I can find the time. It was a great and an epic day down there for me, had the best time, and lots of folks who were great, indeed more skinny-dippers than not - in the morning almost everyone really - and old friends and new.
