Incredulous, I would like to concentrate on what realistic things the people who care for the springs can do for DCHS. Unfortunately due to the vandalism that has occurred at and around where I park I now have to consider that I may come back to my vehicle with shot out windows or worse. It would be nice to know the source of these incidents of vandalism but we will never know unless some one gets lucky and catchs the people or persons in the act. I will continue to access around the ranch because this is the way I prefer and hopefully my good luck concerning vandalism will continue. As far as taking care of the springs, I will continue to do what I have always done on a personal level, carrry trash out, break up fire pits and disperse the ashes, and talk to people in a casual way about ways people can help keep the springs environment clean. I know we have recently tried to put together a group to help do such things but as I mentioned at the beginning of this process, something like this does has inherent problems. As we have seen it is hard to get people together in a more organized way when the people live in many differant places and have all kinds of differant life styles and time schedules. If some good comes from this group idea then thats great. I have been thinking of my busy life lately and have realized that I will have limited time that I could interact with a group like the one we have proposed. I have, for the years I have visited DCHS, operated in a mostly spontaneous way in regards to when I do my visits to the springs. This aspect makes the trips even more fun. I don't want my experience down there to become a second job and predictable. So the future will show us if any thing will come of this idea of forming a group. In the mean time I will be doing my best not to get my vehicle vandalized out there and will continue to do my small part to help keep things clean at DCHS so hopefully it will continue to be a destination of fun and good times.
