Naked Man, you say we who desire to go to the Hot Springs have a choice to park at Mike's place, but the truth is there really isn't any choice in the matter. Deep Creek Springs are a popular place to visit, but as long as law enforcement and forestry officials neglect to patrol the area regularly, the whole place is dangerous. Therefore the only place we can go is the Bowen Ranch if we want to be safe and still enjoy our public lands. How is that a choice? That's a monopoly, by any definition. FOF's point is that we pay for govt. services with out tax money, and one of those services should be safety at popular public places. But it's clear that they are neglecting to monitor the area even in the slightest. I think FOF is completely reasonable in what he posted, and I hope there is a greater ranger presence in the area.
