Actually I was being helpful and honest. But sure bring a group of kids down the Bradford Ridge, which my very fit dog can hardly handle, and which has washed out bits of trail with major falls to the side, and then to the nude hot springs. I won't be finding other places to enjoy naturism, Deep Creek is great for me and for many others - others who have invested years of volunteer work into the place. If your group of young kids is into it, I hope you have a great day. And yes the service idea is a good one, always welcome. Also I don't see the "negativity" in these posts from me or others above.
Bottom line of my post : It is tiresome to hear that Deep Creek is "for everyone" - but a non naturist group should trump the naturist tradition of the place, and naturists should go elsewhere, and weekends are not for nudists anyway. We are talking about a large group of kids. I'm reading between the lines of your post going back to the beginning. If I were a Boy Scout troop leader, it would not be my first idea to bring my group of boys to the nude beach at Blacks for a day out in nature, or to the nude hot springs either.
There are not many places to hike where you can go swimming? Do you live in the same place as me? And in my earlier post, I recommended a PCT hike from Lake Arrowhead instead of a Bradford Ridge hike. It's a nicer hike, and a real trail, and there are so many amazing swimming holes on it if you do 2 seconds of research.
I'm out. Good luck.
