Thanks Mojave. I enjoy writing up the "reports" and plus that way I have a concrete memory of the day. So, reports of my biological magnetism are greatly exaggerated! I do however think I had been at the springs once with the woman who hiked up the trail when I arrived at the Bowen parking area. The woman who ran across the road in front of Bowen's driveway--good memory!--she and her boyfriend came down to the springs that day last year, and I met them and kinda know through one of their friends I trade notes with now who they are a little etc. They were campers who got to Bowen too late to enter the property and I surprised them camping in front of the driveway when I arrived early that day.
This woman, I think was familiar to me from a trip I reported on this forum, where I arrived at the creek and thought I was alone. Skinny-dipped in the lagoon, and suddenly realized there was a nude blond woman on the rocks just a few feet away that I hadn't seen the whole time, blending in. I think this woman the other day was the same. She didn't have a car at Bowen, unless she is friends with the caretaker and had it parked at the house. Mystery!
The big parkour group: It was all guys, though a few of them brought a girlfriend or were met by some girls down there. They came in a bunch of those kinda creepy white vans. They were all parked at Bowen when I returned. But it isn't always all guys - S. from m report above and I were both remembering being at the springs on the day or days (maybe we were there the same day, maybe not as it happens every year) when the yoga group visits the springs. Usually 40-50 people, mostly women. S. remembered a visit from them fondly! I think I might have been there that same day too (wrote about it here, at least).
I will say that there were a lot of free hikers on Friday. It was nice to see that.
