Biological magnetism they appear out of nowhere for you! Recall last time one ran across the road. Maybe same one or a ghostly image? Weird. Although I'm not a believer in the paranormal maybe we do have a lone hiker spirit.

I have done both, but if doing the latter, its upstream and use one of THESE, ultra light and highly recommended it. Also fits over bottle threads.

Why does it always have to be guys :-) I guess the dynamic would change if it was mixed free-hikers. Sounds like they may have used a tour bus. That would be interesting to see.
A few times I have been down I shared a pool with a huge dog. I forget the owner's name, she is a nice lady and likely a local and someone who may read this forum. Anyhow, the dog is half wolf. It's interesting how much of a soaking enthusiast he is especially with all that fur.
